TWF1 Round 4 – Zandvoort Race Report

A cool, salty breeze welcomed the Legends TWF1 drivers to the seaside town of Zandvoort, Netherlands for Round 4 of the TWF1 Autumn 2009 Championship. South African driver Bret Metcalf stood atop the points Division One leaderboard entering the weekend, American Eric Fulghum atop the Division 2 leaderboard. 32 drivers attended the weekend, Division 2 driver and Legend League’s own roving reporter, Katier "Kat" Scott, gives us her view on the action of the day…

 

TWFA Championship Round 5 -Montreal

Once again qualifying position will prove vital at this twisty circiut. High kerbing ensures that accurate car placement will be rewarded, get it slightly wrong and the driver will lose buckets of time or even worse end up in the barrier and out of the running.

  

TWFA Round 4 -Oschersleben Report

Round 4 of the TWFA Championship at Oschersleben took place on Sunday the 18th October. This track, as promised, proved to be very difficult for the drivers to overtake-some made moves stick, whilst others came unstuck.

TWF1 Autumn 2009 – Round 4 – Zandvoort

The Legends League TWF1 circus returns from it’s trip to the orient to visit yet another John Hugenholtz associated track, Zandvoort. The Zandvoort circuit, originally designed and constructed from a series of interconnecting roads built by the German Army during World War II, was transformed into a true racing circuit in 1949 and managed by Mr. Hugenholtz for the next 40 years. Sadly, however, Zandvoort is perhaps most remembered for one of the most tragic yet courageous events to happen in Formula One’s long history…

TWFA Round 3 Suzuka – Report

 

Drivers tempers were heated after the two action packed races that made up the Suzuka round of the TWFA championship. This challenging track proved to be as tricky in an Atlantic car as in a 2009 F1 car with several drivers doing a ‘Heiki’ or ‘Weber’ as Degner 1 claimed it’s fair share of victims.
