Round 4 - Montreal

Post by Risto Kappet »

Hi
The place where i usually race for money is running indycars @ some oval this weekend so i told them to fuck off and that im going to race some real cars instead of vegetating in circles :halm:

So far i did 31.4, could do 1.30.high with a perfect lap, as far as i have seen, the last time we raced here, pole was 1.32.5.
Has something changed or is it just because i have spent the last year ONLY racing vs highest grade aliens and with my racing kart which i fund from the rewards i get from that sim? i even skipped going into university to have more time for racing (sry for brag lol)

Anyway attatched are the replay and setup, latter of which is just the latest setup i could find from my inbox that i used to use when i also ran motec to see the ride height. Then i put some wing on it, balance out with ARB, make it a bit lower since its a slower track and booted it.

Hope to make it to the race, i feel right back at home in these cars!

Looks like you had 45kg of success ballast last year so that would slow you down by over a second. So your time last year was more like a 1:31.7 adjusting for the weight. But at that sort of level improving by a few tenths is huge so, yeah, you've probably got faster :)

I think my goal for this race is to avoid being lapped and looking forward to getting rid of some of the ballast!

Not 100% sure yet but I might drop this round, 3 family birthdays in 3 days including my own starting saturday, gonna be a bit hectic so I might not make it.

I've been fighting a headache for days now and can't find my old setup but I'll try to make it.

Who else will be there sunday?
