Need help with some track issues

Post by Rouke »

Hi guys,

please see my thread at ISI:
http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/9 ... ing-tracks)

For Charade there is a 2006 version which is also great. but its too modern imo and i realy want to keep with the era-feel as much as possible.

Cant help but hope it works out - 70s charade is one of the best tracks ever no matter for which series u plan to use it. Like a mini nordschleife
Perhaps its better to make threads to nogripracing and virtualIR forums, see if its the same with 1.0 version or if u guys can do some editing of your own, see if the pitlane side limits arent too small,
since this track has no seperate pitlane maybe they have gotten the limits a little bit wrong, so the pit spots are outside the limits, making them disappear as game thinks u have exited the pits.

Thx Risto,

there's only a v1.0 for GTL available, not for rfactor. or i could not find it.

I've made a post at nogrip and bumped my thread at ISI.

I could add them to our calendar for later in the season, that gives us time to find a solution.

I agree, Charade is such a great track that its almost a 'must' for us to use it. I'm equaly passionate about Panorama, this track is not only superb but will also balance out the roster and we will end up with something for everyone in terms of different characteristics.
In fact, we could later on even discuss if we would go ahead as-is anyways, i mean, who pits in twfc? no1. and an instant dnf is reasonably realistic as well?

But i might get carried away with this all hehe.
i just dont understand trackmakers are ok to release tracks that cannot be used.

Could someone maybe install either or both tracks and at least determin if its indeed the track (or just me)?

Fixed!!

I feel realy stupid but on the other hand, its logical as well i made this mistake. open pitlanes still have a fixed entry, enter too late or a tiny bit off and you got a problem.
find the correct entry in testing and you are good.

Thx for the guy replying at ISI, he made me realise it was probably on my end so it did several tests and finaly got it.
so happy we can use these tracks! :victorydance:

All we need to do now is warn people about it before the event :)

And i take my words back about trackmakers not doing their job......

Well, we have tossed loads of tracks aside over the past few years for bugs and glitches so its not all fine and dandy but thats also part of an open source engine, anyone can make anything and sometimes we get stuff that aint so good but we also get to enjoy the realy good stuff :)
