This week we go back to the F1 '92 for another warmup race for our forthcoming F1 '92 Championship, which is to start on Sun 8th Feb 2015.

I didn't see any talk on agreeing to do a season with the 92's. Is that a definite? If so, I might have to kiss someone around here.

Ah yes, it is definite, we will start F1'92 Championship Feb 8th. Until then we will do our own races every 2 weeks, and do the inter-league race on the alternate week with SpeedRacin & Fun2Race. No need to discuss the league in this thread for Malaysia! Full details to follow.

Now this is settled I had a brief look into making a skin for the '92 mod. There doesn't appear to be any templates available. Is there an old fashioned method for extracting and modifying an existing skin? I could not make any progress.

Live Racers is not showing the laptimes from Malaisya.

Liveracers on our website is currently showing server #1 and for this event we are using server #2 hosted by Fun2Race which has no LR yet. but we are working on it.

So keep in mind which server we are using (stated in the announcements) because there are likely to be 2 legends servers online from now on, possibly with different mods/tracks running.

We have run many open servers in recent weeks, and things have generally gone pretty well. But I think the F1 '92 and an open server is a more toxic combo than say the Megane. There was some probs at the start of Indy GP a few weeks ago in this mod.

Therefore we will boot any drivers who turn up too late and do not put in enough time time to get up to speed for the race. Being slow is no problem at all, driving recklessly certainly is and we will boot anybody turning up late who cannot complete a decent lap.

There is 40 min practice, 20 min Q and 10 min warmup. Anybody who joins server in Q or WU will be monitored and only allowed to race if they are driving respectably.

I spent all this week on the server and it's incredible how many new guys join in. Many are new in the MOD and even with rf2, not just at the track, so they don't have idea how to drive.

But you are right about those who join in at the last minute and make the start a disaster trying to gain ten places in turn 1. I think i saw enough of that in my sim racing life.

Had a bit of practice last nite , be very careful not to get on any of the sandtraps. Absolute killers! I've got outta a few in my time but these are really hard work As for getting beached on some of the kerbs
