Hello everyone,

my name is Joern, i'm 32 years old. I've been simracing for about 10 years now, started out with NR2003, went to rFactor and then rFactor 2 once they put their first beta out. Tried some others along the way ( RACE07 / GTR2 / iRacing ) but rFactor 1 / 2 seemed to offer the most for me i guess.

Spent most of my time racing touring cars, but i wanted to try out some open wheelers for a change. I've got pointed to your league on the rF2 Forums where i was looking to run Formula Renault 3.5's. I'm reasonably quick but certainly no alien, consistent and fair racer. Formed a small simracing team with friends, who hopefully will join here as well if everything works out.

Well i guess that will be it for now, going to read my way through the important stuff

Welcome Joern,

This Sunday 10th Aug (practice during the week) is a non championship event, using the Formula Renault 2014 at Hockenheim (server will be up tomorrow) and the following Sunday 17th Aug will be the championship event. Look forward to seeing you on the track.

Sounds good, i think i should be able to make it this Sunday.

On a side note, i could not find anything regarding DRS in the rules, will you be utilizing it? Or is DRS forbidden?

Cool...DRS is dictated by the specific rules of the tracks we use (in the rFm I think). Some tracks, like Poznan for example DRS is freely available whilst with others there are zones in which case the DRS in the race will only be activated after lap 2 or 3 and if you are within one second of the car in front at the detection point. I have not tried Hockenheim yet so not sure at the moment.
