Re: Motec telemetry for rfactor
Just a thought: I tried to low the ride height to 3 - 3.5 (front rear) from 3 - 4.5, and all the braking points (especially the hard ones) are now farer; i.e. the car is braking better. The only problem is that you get also oversteer, and you have to fix it for example by changing wing & spring settings

Re: Motec telemetry for rfactor
Just noted that I have no GE on my Reanult. xD
With 3,4cm front and 4,4 cm rear, the motec is telling me that the average front pos is less that 10mm (and less than 5 mm at key points) and less than 20 mm rear (dropping to bellow 10 sometimes). What should I do? Stiffen up the suspension or get the car higher?

It depends what the actual numbers from MOTEC. On some tracks the TIRES don't even touch the ground - just depends how the track and car are modelled, whether they meet up properly.

Re: Motec telemetry for rfactor
Sorry to revive this thread, but I got a problem with Motec which I can't seem to find the solution for.
I've managed to install the plugin (the latest one, from the isi forum page posted above) and rfactor seems to be logging fine.
I've also managed to open it in Motec, which shows a multitude of channels, BUT it shows Steering angle as a constant zero.
After googling for quite a while the only thing I've managed to find on this issue was people suggesting not to use the steering angle channel but the steering percentage channel instead.
Which makes all sense, except that channel is not available. The only steering channel I've got with data is steering force, but that seems to be a different thing as it's quite a noisy signal.
I'm using a G25, I think that's important to mention.
As anyone faced a similar problem?

Re: Motec telemetry for rfactor
Go to steering(%) and compare it with the maximum angle you have.

Re: Motec telemetry for rfactor
Something John said I should be using with Motec for gp79:

No idea if it helps Pedro.
John is not browsing the forums of late I think so he might not see this thread, drop him a pm and maybe he is able to help out.

Re: Motec telemetry for rfactor
Thanks Rouke, I'll try it later this week when I get the change.
Also, maybe this thread should be moved into the tech support?
