Pitstops in Legends
General
Practise your pitstops. Not just for the sequence but equaly important is knowing how to enter and exit a pitlane. You do not want to be suprised mid-race.
The amounts of fuel calculated by rFactor are often wrong. You need to calculate it yourself or be advised by others in order to get it right for a race (and qualifying)
Pit strategy can be set on forehand. You can call in early for a pitstop and the crew will be using the prefix.
call in a pitstop by pressing the apropriate button found within the games list of commands.
The crew will need a few seconds to get ready, call in about 1 lap on forehand.
You can alter the strategy live whilst driving (repair/dont repair, more/less fuel, etc)
There is a big difference between a drive through penalty and a stop & go penalty. Be sure you follow the correct procedure or you will have to try again.
GP79
Pitstops are alowed but not mandatory. In fact it remains to be seen if it will positivly effect the overall race duration.
We can now pit for fuel and tires as aposed to the original mod.
Be aware of the fact that with this mod we often come across tracks with pit speeds up to 300kph and other times a restricted speed of 80kph for example.
These cars do not have speed limiters, you have to do it yourself.
Fuel is added to the tank as aposed to other mods where it is beeing replaced as initiated in the pitstop strategy.
For a lenghty repair job in the pits (usualy wing/suspension repairs) its probably wise to shut down the engine or you will suffer heating problems on exit.
You need two buttons to stop and start the engine as well as usage of the neutral button.
The Legends version of this mod DOES repair bended suspensions.
Toyota Atlantics
There are no special issues with this mod in terms of pitstops.
