Round Two of the TWF1 Autumn season is finally in the books and official. It wasn't pleasant and it wasn't pretty. Read on for the details...

Kat Scott is taking a break this week, TWF1 Race Director Rick Stratton has added a few words in her place.

Regretably, the TWF1 Autumn 2010 Round Two race at Imola turned out to be a controversial affair. For the first time in many seasons we've had to disqualify not only one driver from the race results, but in this case several drivers. This decision was not an easy one to make, but it was the concensus of both the Legends HQ and the recommendation of the Stewards Office that it was the only one to make. For new members here to Legends, and for veteran members as well, I cannot stress enough both the importance of reading race briefings and keeping up on the forums for pre-race news, but also the importance of reading, understanding and obeying the TWFR Rules.

Prior to the Imola race weekend, several efforts were posted in an effort to warn drivers that corner cutting, consistant or intentional corner cutting would not be tolerated. THis should be no surprise to anyone who has read the rule book, corner cutting has never been tolerated. But it appears many drivers at Imola decided on their own to either ignore or disregard the rule. From a personal perspective, intentional or consistant corner cutting is cheating. Plain and simple. As such, it's something I believe should not be tolerated. This league is all about collecting members with honesty and integrity. We could have easily bypassed Imola on the race schedule because of the possibility of corner cutting. We chose not to because we believed the TWF1 members would be honest enough to self police and avoid the temptation. It saddens me to see that this was not true.

We could in future eliminate the temptation by cutting the number of available tracks to choose from in half, perhaps even more, and run the same tracks season after season. I would prefer not to do this, not to NEED to do this, and would instead be willing to ask members who cannot abide by the rules or drive with integrity befitting Legends simply to not sign up for TWF1.

I want to publically thank the Stewards Office for their efforts this week. It was work well done, work above and beyond the call of duty. For the members, there will be no revisiting the decisions or penalties. Period. I strongly encourage everyone to read the Stewards Report [see below] carefully.
