Trying to do the auto download thing and it's been sitting downloading GP79_Talent for a long time (probably an hour) - any ideas if that's normal?

On that FFB issue:
http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/1 ... the-Zone-D

Most important setting is the minimum torque of the wheel which has to be adjusted in the rF2 player file to get rid of the so called lightness.
Guide should give you a nice baseline. Never ever apply FFB smoothing. Kills all small effects.

On the mod itself. It feels horrible....

Drivers will be well advised to ensure they map keys for ignition and starter - as any pit stop of 1 min+ will put you out of the race as engine will overheat! You need to switch the engine off and back on again at end of stop. Also! For the same reason on the formation lap on Sunday it is very important the cars at back keep up, so that no cars overheat on the grid if things take too long

Me Vadim and many people do find the mod feels horrible to begin with, if you feel that way too I strongly recommend you stick with it a while longer. I hated it at first too but if you are patient with it it is an extremely rewarding mod indeed :)

That was FUN!!! Felt like putting on my favourite shoes.. comfy and back at home. Found my Zandvoort setup worked pretty well with a gearing tweak, and finished on a 2 min dead.. which is slow as all hell - but that's status quo for me most of the time (ironically that Zandvoort setup bagged pole but I was at the top of my game at the time).

That reminds me.. is the Zandy 67 version available.. that fits these cars like a glove and the run through from the top of the circuit to the end is one of racings best sequences.. still get a smile from taking the right hander after Scheivlak flat in a long slide... threading the needle at 170mph!!

Apparently the Lotus 80 mk II is causing problems on the server. Is the mk I ok by any chance?

Thanks mate, certainly something is causing problem on server but we cannot work out what it is! I will look into this, not sure of MK1 will be OK or not... will test.

If anything this might be a sign they did a good job on the conversion, virtually everyone hated the mod in rf1 until to got a bit more familiar with it.

Is my assumption right or wrong that the car performance differentials will be roughly the same as for RF1? (won't stop me driving my T4 but just curious)

Lotus 79, Lotus 79 Monza and Lotus 80 Mk2 are fine, Lotus 80 (no front wing) is causing the problem, mesh file error. :(

*chuckles* some things simply don't change.. usual suspects at the top of the speed charts.

Renaults up top, then the Ferrari's.. no surprise there then!!
