GP79 cockpit walls fix?
Hi,
I remember back in the day Rik had figured out a fix for getting the cockpit walls to extend all the way out to the edge of the screen in the cockpit view. By default they always end short. Does anyone remember what needed to be edited to fix it?

Just a guess (I've not heard of this problem), but maybe move the seat forward?

Nah that doesn't help. I think it's a widescreen issue. The cockpit walls end where a normal 4:3 screen would end on the sides so on widescreen monitors it looks like the walls are chopped off heh. Rik had a fix for it. I tried searching his posts but they only go back to march 2008 and I think he posted the fix earlier than that. It might have been in the wiki at some point or maybe that was just about painting the cockpit.

Since I only got a triple screen setup in 2011, long after I last drove GP79, I don't think I could have come up with such a solution - I certainly don't remember doing so!
The only 'cockpit fix' I can recall is that the GP79 cockpit surround colours aren't altered by the skins so if you, say, want a yellow cockpit for a Ferrari T4 then there is another file you need to edit to achieve that.

Hi Rik! How's it going? Nah you definitely had that fix :p it was a tweak to a number value in some file I think. I just can't remember what or where. It's not that big of a deal though... I don't particularly look at those walls when driving heh.

Jon, maybe lowering the FOV value rather than moving the seat?

I'll try that... I think it's only in the GP79 mod though. I just drove around in the 67s and the problem doesn't exist there. Maybe I dreamt it up (the fix) lol.

I know the problem, well not really a problem
change FOV and also seat position, should do the trick
carefull with FOV because it changes the depth and feel of the corners, i use between 50 and 60 degrees FOV

On a side note...
Jef, we could change the interior colour of your lotus to white if you want. It's kind of a pain, but it looks good. I may change my Ligier. The blue is bothering me
