Many thanks Steve.
Wish I could have done better and lasted longer. A bit exhausted and [ahem] perhaps a few too many beers.
Not a good debut.

A complete poor show from me. No excuses as to why I drove like a man on drugs... I just couldn't find any rhythm which annoyed me as I had so much of it in Qualifying.

Thanks for restarting on the formation lap by the way. I was stuck in 1st gear which has something to do with my G25, it has happened before so I done my usual punch on the wheel and nothing happened. So I went back to pits and unleashed my anger (which looking at my knuckles now wasn't a good idea  ) and somehow it fixed it! I suspect on very few occasions the up shifter gets stuck. But I can't see why it's getting stuck. Nothing's broke or sticking!!!

Anyway my race was just poor. I couldn't save the tyre efficiently enough and I was all over the place, then to finish it off IE popped up and by the time I closed it down I was in the wall minus a front wing  Sums my race up really..

I'll have to try better next round .

Congrats Steve, you deserved it man! :halm:

Thanks guys :) Was an awesome race, I spent the first 1/3 trying to keep up with Ari and Grant who were really hammering it out, and had Vadim close behind all the way. Then a period quite close to both of them and Vadim still behind, Grant was driving a like a mad ass I thought his tyres were going off. I never got past either of them but I spent a while over driving it myself and that hit the tyres pretty hard.

During that period when the tyres were overcooked I was making mistakes and Vadim got me! Then concentrated just maintain best pace until the end, I did not want to change tyres! In the end I did not change tyres, I had already seen Grant in the wall  but I was surprised Ari had seemed to take new tyres and I come out in the clear lead!

I seen the times coming down for last 20 mins, I seen I that I could stay ahead. Then this damn faulty build started stuttering and I was really cussing Tim Wheatley so much I lost a lot of extra time with the distraction  One more lap Ari would have got me I think, crossed the line with him in close pursuit!

It was not as special a win as I first felt as I learned Ari took a stop and go for speeding  but I'm still very pleased of course. Sadly i looks like my Q lap is illegal so that kind of takes the gloss off it, 30% points deduction pah, but I gave Grant a solid beating - and that's all that counts

Steve summed it up nicely.
Great fun, I came up to the pace DURING the race really (nearly a second faster in race then in Qualy).

Had fun watching while maintaing my pace. I changed tyres...dont know why really.... :nodance: .
33 seconds pitstop didnt help. All in all, second place could ve happenend. I take 3rd gladly.
(Also 3rd race without a DNF - Biggest succes!)

Unlucky Grant. Understandable grief for these circumstances.
Gratz Steve and all finishers!

EVERYBODY COME AND RACE WITH US. THESE CARS ARE FUN ONCE ONE UNDERSTANDS THEM! :halm:
